    DENVER (CBS4) – Home prices in the Denver metro area are up, albeit slightly, again.
    The latest S&P/Case-Shiller Home Prices Indices report shows resale prices grew to 8.6 percent for March – up from 8.4 in February and from 7.6 percent in January.

    FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says an inmate escaped from the Four Mile Correctional Center Tuesday morning.

  • Supreme Court Clears The Way For Controversial Arkansas Abortion Law

    (CNN) — The Supreme Court on Tuesday cleared the way for a controversial Arkansas law that blocks medication-induced abortions to go into effect.
    The law, passed in 2015, says that any physician who “gives, sells, dispenses, administers, or otherwise provides or prescribes the abortion-inducing drug” shall have to have a contract with a physician who has admitting privileges at a nearby hospital.

    DENVER (CBS4) – On Saturday, June 2, hundreds of people will walk at the Denver Botanic Gardens-Chatfield Farms Littleton to raise awareness and money to fight lung cancer. Among them will be a woman who was devastated to lose her father to the disease.
    Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer of men and women in the U.S. Each year, more people die of lung cancer than of colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined.

    After a warm and mostly sunny weekend, Memorial Day Monday brought us severe weather to many areas in Colorado. Denver had two Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for storms that produced large hail and very heavy rainfall.
    Cloudy skies early in the day, did help prevent us from warming too much. The storms could have been way worse had it been a very sunny day.
