  COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A district attorney says a Colorado police sergeant was justified in shooting a teenage boy sought in multiple felonies who appeared to be raising a gun toward officers.

  CRAIG, Colo. (CBS4) – The Peekaboo fire in northwestern Colorado is now 8,000 acres in size. It’s burning on burning in a remote, rugged area on federally owned land, about 50 miles west of Craig. It’s currently 5% contained.

• Four Bears Killed In Colorado In One Day

  DURANGO, Colo. (CBS4) – Four bears were killed in southwest Colorado on Wednesday.The Durango Herald reports two of those bears were shot by homeowners in the La Plata area when they got into their homes, and two more were euthanized. One of the euthanized bears killed pigs and chickens in Pagosa Springs and the other killed a llama in Cortez.

• Driver Hits Woman, Crashes Into Ravine After Concert

  MORRISON, Colo. (CBS4) – Two people were injured in the Red Rocks parking lot after a concert Thursday night.
  Officials with West Metro Fire Rescue said a male driver hit two women with his car, injuring one. Denver police say the man then drove off and crashed into a ravine.

  ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — If walrus is in your dinner plans, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends you make sure it’s well done.
