    Colorado Zoo Celebrates Breakthrough In Giraffe Medical Care
    COLORADO SPRINGS (CBS4) – The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo says animal care teams have broken ground on two new forms of giraffe veterinary care.
    Veterinarians say they have used stem-cell transfusion therapy and custom-made urethane “sneakers” to tread giraffes at the zoo.
    Dr. Liza Dadone and the staff of the Colorado State University James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital grew stem cells from giraffe blood, and injected that back into the giraffe.

  • Aurora Police Warn Of New Scam

    AURORA (CBS4) – Officers with the Aurora Police Department are warning of a new scam being reported in the area.
    A citizen received a call from “Rex Johnson,” who claimed to work for Microsoft Support. The victim was told her computer had a virus. The caller convinced the victim to allow remote access to her computer. Over the next two days, the victim was convinced to send money to locations in India and Africa.
    Aurora police warn this is a scam.

    ASPEN, Colo. (AP) — Authorities are investigating the death of a 27-year-old Arizona man found near a trail in the Aspen area.
    The Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office says the body of Jeffrey Bushroe, of Tucson, was found next to the snow-packed trail to Crater Lake near the Maroon Bells Saturday morning.
    Investigators don’t believe he had been there long and may have hurt himself and been unable to make it back down the trail, possibly on Friday.
