  DENVER (CBS4) – It’s the time of year when bees start swarming along the Front Range.
  In Colorado bees will usually swarm from April through June. It happens when a hive gets too crowded. The old queen takes about half of the bees to find a new home.

  LEADVILLE, Colo. (CBS4) – A suspect in a fatal stabbing in Leadville has turned himself in to authorities.

  Matthew Haley, 29, turned himself in to authorities in Conejos County on Saturday. He’s accused of stabbing Jordan Gausman, 31, during an argument at the Silver Dollar Saloon on Monday.

• Morgan County Sheriff Grateful Tornadoes Didn’t Hit Memorial Day Weekend

  MORGAN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Tornadoes ripped through Colorado’s Eastern Plains Saturday afternoon and CBS4’s Melissa Garcia spoke with some people were affected by the twisters.
  Garcia visited a campground at Empire Reservoir in Morgan County where a tornado sent trailers flying. It was a spot where one of three tornadoes touched down.

  DENVER (CBS4) – Hundreds of runners took advantage of the warm weather Sunday morning at the Colorado Rockies Home Run for the Homeless 5K.
  The course took a scenic path through downtown Denver and even a lap around the warning track at Coors Field.

• Wild Weather Continues In Rocky Mountains, Eastern Plains

  DENVER (AP) – A large storm that brought a series of tornadoes to eastern Colorado has dumped up to a foot of snow in Wyoming and is expected to continue to bring hail and rain to the Rocky Mountains and Eastern Plains through Monday.
  National Weather Service forecaster Timothy Trudel said Sunday a foot of snow has already fallen on mountain ranges about 40 miles west of Laramie.

  MORGAN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Search teams have recovered the body of a kayaker who went missing on the South Platte River on Friday.
  The 23-year-old man from Fort Morgan is believed to have drowned near Dodd Bridge in Morgan County.

  DENVER (CBS4) – Several townhomes were damaged after a quick moving fire in Denver.
  The fire broke out early Sunday morning on Hillcrest Drive near Interstate 25 and Hampden Avenue. Nobody was injured but the fire spread to seven different homes.

  The crash happened Friday afternoon on 1st Avenue. A car crossed into oncoming traffic, clipped a pickup truck, and then crashed head-on into a Jeep.
