    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)– The AdAmAn Club’s annual hike to the top of Pikes Peak as part of the New Year’s Eve tradition to light off fireworks from the summit is underway.
    The Pikes Peak AdAmAn Club has been climbing the 14,115-foot peak near Colorado Springs to ring in the new year since 1922. They also set off fireworks at the stroke of midnight.

    Aurora Firefighters Rescue Person From Burning Home
    AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – Firefighters in Aurora had to rescue a person from a burning home Tuesday afternoon.
    According to a fire department spokesperson, the fire broke out at a home located at 1293 South Troy Street at approximately 3 p.m. One person was rescued from the home by ladder through a window.
    The person, who was the only one in the home, was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
    A dog was also rescued and was taken in by Animal Control.
