• Dallas Man Goes To Jail After Voter Fraud Plea

  DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) – A 28-year-old Dallas-area man has been sentenced to about six months in jail after pleading guilty to a charge in an ongoing voter fraud investigation.
  A statement Wednesday from the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office says Miguel Hernandez pleaded guilty to a single count of using an unlawful method of returning a marked ballot.

• Heavy Rains Bring Floods To Areas Of Texas Hit By Harvey

  CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Heavy rains along the Texas coast have caused flooding in areas that were hit hard by Hurricane Harvey less than a year ago.
  National Weather Service meteorologist Tyler Castillo said Wednesday that since Tuesday, rain of 5 to 10 inches was widespread along the Texas coast with up to 15 inches in isolated areas. Port Aransas, which was devastated when Harvey hit last August, is among the cities inundated.
