• Officials: 4 Killed In Southern California Small Plane Crash

  SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say four people have been killed after a small plane crashed near a mountain town in Southern California.
  The Los Angeles County Fire Department says the private plane went down late Sunday morning in a remote area near Agua Dulce.
  The department confirms four fatalities and says the coroner and Federal Aviation Administration officials are responding.
  Agua Dulce is in the Sierra Pelona Mountains about 40 miles (73 km) north of downtown Los Angeles.

  (AP) – An ambulance carrying a young boy to a hospital for treatment was hit early Sunday by a drunken driver in North Carolina, overturning the medical transport and leaving the boy fighting for his life, authorities said.

• Texas Husband Fatally Shoots Wife In Front Of Their Children

  HOUSTON (AP) — A Texas man has been charged with murder after police say he fatally shot his wife in front of their three children.
  Police spokeswoman Jodi Silva says Daniel Martinez and his common law wife, Claudia Arriaga, were arguing early Saturday morning at a Houston residence when he pulled out a gun and shot her in front of the children. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
  The ages of the children were not immediately known.
  He was arrested and charged with murder.
