• Driver Dead After Fiery Crash In Dallas

  DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A driver died early Sunday morning after a fiery crash in Dallas.
  Police say a driver was speeding on West Ledbetter and crashed into a bridge support at South R.L. Thornton just before 1 a.m.
  The car then caught on fire. Witnesses tried to pull the driver out, but it was too hot and unsafe.
  The driver was pronounced dead. An identity has not been released.
  The cause of the crash is under investigation.

  MONTECITO, Calif. (AP) — Parishioners prayed on Sunday for those killed and for families still searching for missing relatives in a Southern California community ravaged by mudslides, and authorities announced another body had been found, increasing the death toll to 20.

• Police: Dallas Homeowner Shoots 2 Juveniles During Robbery

  DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Two juveniles are recovering from gunshot wounds after Dallas police say they tried to rob a homeowner.
  The incident happened at around 11 p.m. Saturday on Glen Arbor Drive near East Ledbetter.
  Police say the juveniles tried to rob the homeowner outside his house. The homeowner shot the two of them.
  A third person drove the two to a nearby hospital.
  Dallas police say the two juveniles face charges of aggravated robbery.

  MONTECITO, Calif. (AP) — The death toll from the mudslides in a California coastal town rose to 19 on Saturday but a man who had also been on the list of missing persons was located alive, authorities said.
  The body of Morgan Christine Corey, 25, was found in mud and debris in Montecito, Santa Barbara County Sheriff Bill Brown said. Her 12-year-old sister, Sawyer, had been found dead earlier.

  Police say the man was shot in the 6000 block of Greenspan Avenue overnight and was taken to Charlton Methodist Hospital by a private vehicle. He was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
  The victim was identified as 28-year-old Keith Fowler. Police are seeking a suspect in the homicide.

  DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – A 14-year-old boy who was named Dallas police chief for a day passed away Thursday after his battle with brain cancer, according to police.
  Police say Ayodeji Adekilekum died Thursday evening from his illness after he was rushed to the hospital that day.
