    DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The Dallas County sheriff’s deputy who died in Friday’s head-on collision in Forney was identified Saturday as deputy William Dittman.
    Officials said Dittman died at the scene of the double fatal car accident in Forney while off-duty.
    The Dallas County Sheriff’s Department said Dittman was a 23-year veteran of the department.
    The other victims of the accident have not been identified yet.

    DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) – A strong 5.6 magnitude earthquake in Oklahoma rattled homes and shook people in their beds from North Texas to Kansas City this morning.
    The quake happened at 7:02 a.m. Saturday in north-central Oklahoma, The United States Geological Survey said. That ties for Oklahoma’s strongest earthquake on record, the first coming in November 2011.
    No major damage was immediately reported.

    FORNEY (CBSDFW.COM) – A head-on crash in Forney has left two people dead.
    A Dallas County Deputy died at the scene. He was off-duty at the time and had worked for the department more than 20 years. The second victim was transported to Lake Pointe Emergency Services in Forney and later passed away.
