    WATERFORD – Police are looking for a couple of “dine-and-dash” thieves who didn’t bother paying the bill at a local restaurant.
    The two ordered $98.40 worth of food and drinks at the Sunset Rib Company on River Street in Waterford, then left the restaurant before paying the bill. The two people left in a dark colored vehicle.

    WATERBURY – Police say they are investigating how a 10-year-old girl drowned in a residential swimming pool last night.The child, who has not yet been identified, drowned in a pool on Pierpont Road.   • Driver arrested crash that injured 5 people in New London

    NEW LONDON — Police arrested a Ledyard man on DUI charges after they say he injured several people and crashed into five cars Saturday afternoon.
    Police said around 4 p.m. they received multiple reports of a white jeep Wrangler crashing into other vehicles without stopping in the area of Truman St., Shaw St., and Upper Bank St. Police said five people were transported to L+M Hospital as a result of the accident.     HARTFORD — Court records say a former Roman Catholic priest dubbed “Monsignor Meth” because he ran a meth distribution ring has failed a drug test and may have to return to prison.
    The Hartford Courant reports that court documents show Former Bridgeport Diocese Monsignor Kevin Wallin recently tested positive for amphetamine at the facility where he’s been receiving treatment.
