    A 3-year-old boy was found dead in a bus outside his day care in northwest Houston after he was apparently left inside following a field trip, as temperatures outside soared to nearly 100 degrees.
    The boy was one of 28 students from the “Discovering Me Academy” who were taken by bus Thursday to a nearby park for a field trip earlier in the day, the Harris County sheriff’s office said.
    The group returned to the day care between 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

    Restaurants in Baltimore are now officially barred from including sodas and other sugary drinks on kids’ menus, according to a city ordinance that went into effect Wednesday.

    DES MOINES, Iowa — Several tornadoes tore through Iowa, overturning cars, flattening homes and leaving people injured.

    LEBANON — Fire officials say one person was injured and taken to the hospital by Life Star after a car crashed into a tree overnight.
    Around 12:45 a.m., the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department says a car crashed into the tree on Trumbull Highway near Diane Drive. When first responders arrived, they found a car laying on its side, on top of a person.

    BRANSON, MO  — A duck boat capsized and sank during a severe thunderstorm in Missouri, killing at least 11 people, some of them children, authorities said.
    Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader said at least five people are unaccounted for and seven others were injured in Thursday night’s incident on Table Rock Lake near Branson. “I believe it was caused by weather, yes,” he said.

    MERIDEN - At 9 a.m. on Thursday morning Meriden police went to View Street for a suspicious person and when they arrived on scene they found a woman who had overdosed on fentanyl, laying halfway in a car.
