    MINNESOTA — An 8-year-old student attacked three other students with a knife at an elementary school Monday morning, according to the New York Post. 
    Authorities said the second grade boy brought a kitchen knife from home which he used to randomly attack his classmates.
    The three victims, ages 8, 9, and 13, suffered “superficial wounds” and required stitches following the attack, according to Police Chief Perry Beise.

    BRIDGEPORT — Kyle Navin plead guilty on two counts of murder in connection with the deaths of his parents in 2015
    The defense struck a plea deal with the state that lifted the Murder with Special Circumstances charge.

    HAMDEN — Hamden police are searching for two men involved in a robbery and stabbing Sunday night.
    Police said, “two Hispanic males” approached two men who were pulled over on Park Road around 3:45 a.m. The suspects demanded their belongings, and stabbed one of the victims, a 21-year-old Hamden resident, in the abdomen during a physical altercation.

    BOSTON — Japan’s Yuki Kawauchi  surged with a mile to go to overtake Geoffrey Kirui to win the Boston Marathon on Monday.

    BRANFORD — Police are warning drivers to remove their keys and keep their cars locked  following a series of car thefts in the area.
    Capt. Geoff Morgan said on Monday that five cars were stolen from the Pine Orchard section of the town.
    Morgan said all five vehicles had the keys inside them. Most of the cars were also unlocked.
    Police said other suspects rummaged through for valuables some vehicles.
