  • Gun right supporters rally in Hartford

    HARTFORD -- People gathered at the state capitol today to use their first amendment right to protect their second amendment right. The pro gun rally was put on by Connecticut Citizens Defense League, a grassroots legislative action group focused on second amendment rights. Given the recent shootings in our country people said they don't want the laws to change to restrict gun owners.

  • Man airlifted to hospital following serious car collision

    WINCHESTER — A 21 year-old man was airlifted to Hartford Hospital following a serious car collision Saturday evening.
    Police said the collision happened at Torringford Road around 8:21 p.m. A 21 year-old man was attempting to back out when his car stalled partially sticking out on to the road.  The man went to check his car battery, when another car struck his car which hit him.

    WINDSOR — Police are investigating the cause of an early Saturday morning car collision, that left one man dead.
    Timothy Sanderson, 36 of East Windsor, parked his red pick-up truck on the right shoulder of I-91 northbound on the Exit 36 off ramp. Police said that Sanderson exited his vehicle and was standing near the fog line while re-fueling his car.

    WASHINGTON, DC — The Syrians say some targeted sites didn’t receive any damage. Satellite images given to CNN appear to show the contrary — extensive damage.
    The US Department of Defense early Saturday released a map that it says shows their three Syrian airstrike targets. CNN provided that map to two satellite imagery companies, DigitalGlobe and Planet.com.

  • Firefighters respond to house fire in South Windsor

    SOUTH WINDSOR — Firefighters responded to Diane Drive Saturday afternoon on calls of a house fire.
    First responders arrived on scene around 4:35 p.m. to see a single story home that was on fire. After “a very aggressive interior attack”, firefighters said that the blaze was under control within 20 minutes. From a picture provided by South Windsor Fire Department, the fire looks to have damaged the front of the home.
