    SOUTH WINDSOR -- A South Windsor family is hoping to make a difference in the lives of others, and it is all with the help of stress EGGGs.

    "If she started to feel like she was being triggered, I could pull out the materials, and she could make the stress balls," said Barbara Eddy, a South Windsor mom. "It would calm her down."

    NEW HAVEN — Police are investigating a shooting on Chapel Street that left a man dead.
    Police said around  12:20 p.m., emergency crews were called to a shooting on Chapel Street between Winthrop Avenue and Norton Street. They found Eric Lewis, 35, of New Haven, shot once in the chest. He was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he died.

    EAST HARTFORD — A fire broke out at a used appliance store in East Hartford this morning.
    Officials say the call came in around 2:15 a.m. and when crews arrived, they found a large fire in the back of the building. The fire also extended into the attic, causing the roof to collapse.
    The owner was here at the time of the fire, but was not injured.
    Departments from Manchester assisted, and mutual aid from West Hartford and Hartford helped as well.
