  • West Hartford: Person found dead inside car; police investigating

    WEST HARTFORD — A person was found dead inside car at Brace Road Saturday evening.
    Officers  arrived on the scene on calls of someone sleeping in a car but found the person inside not to be breathing.   After breaking the window of the car, police realized that the person was dead.
    The body is being examined at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.  The person was not identified.

    Firefighter tweeted out just before 6 p.m. that a fire had erupted on the 50th floor of Trump tower.
    According to PIX11,  it was an initially a 3-alarm fire. Flames and smoke can be seen coming out of the window of the floor.

  • Fire at Trump Tower leaves 1 dead, 4 injured, says FDNY

    NEW YORK CITY –One person was killed and four fiefighters were injured in a four-alarm fire at Trump Tower on Saturday, according to the New York City Fire Department.
    The person who died was a resident of the building’s 50th floor who had been taken to the hospital in critical condition, department spokeswoman Angelica Conroy told CNN.
    The fire was contained to the 50th floor of the tower, located on Fifth Avenue in New York.
