  • Milford Police Investigate String Of Residential Burglaries

    MILFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) – Milford police are investigating a string of residential burglaries.
    Police say homes on Lower Naugatuck Avenue, High Street and in the area of Foran High School were broken into Friday night.
    In each case, police say a large rock or brick was thrown through a window in the rear of the home.
    Police are urging residents to be vigilant and report anything suspicious by calling 203-878-6551.
    As of Saturday afternoon, there was no word of any arrests in the case.

    WESTERVILLE, OH –Two police officers died after being shot Saturday in Westerville, Ohio, a northern suburb of Columbus, authorities said.
    The officers were shot as they entered an apartment while responding to a 911 call that ended with a hangup, Westerfield Division of Police Chief Joe Morbitzer told reporters.     TORRINGTON – Police in Torrington are searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at Daley Moving and Storage.
    Victims say the suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, black mask, jeans and gloves. When he entered the business on Migeon Avenue, he displayed a silver revolver and demanded money.

    MAINE — A group of Maine dairy delivery drivers will receive $5 million in a proposed settlement for unpaid overtime, according to court records filed on Thursday.
    A judge ruled in the drivers’ favor last March, and it was all thanks to the lack of an Oxford comma in a Maine labor law.

    BURLINGTON, Conn. (AP) _ State Police have charged a Connecticut woman with the murder of her 84-year-old husband, a UConn Health doctor and professor.
