• Typo on tickets invites attendees to ‘State of the Uniom’

    WASHINGTON — A typo on some of the tickets issued for President Donald Trump’s first State of the Union address to Congress Tuesday provided invitees a welcome to the “State of the Uniom.”
    The tickets, which are issued by the Office of the Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper, are provided for spouses and guests of members of Congress and give access to seats in the gallery.
    While it is unclear how many of the tickets printed had typos, all affected tickets have been reprinted

(AP) _ A dean from UCLA has been appointed the next president of Quinnipiac University in Connecticut.Judy Olian, who currently serves as dean of UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, will become Quinnipiac’s first female president when she takes over from John Lahey, who will retire at the end of June.
    Lahey has led the school since 1987 as it grew from a small college into a university of nearly 10,000 students on three campuses.

    NEW LONDON —  A New London police officer was arrested Monday and charged with hitting a man in the face while he was sitting handcuffed in the back of a police cruiser in 2016.
