    DESTREHAN, La. – After 11 years of battling infertility, Shantelle Dozier is finally pregnant, and she planned a special surprise for her mother-in-law to let her know.
    Shantelle said she wanted to “be all Pinterest and cutesy” with her pregnancy announcement, but she got so excited that she was having trouble waiting for the perfect time.
    She ended up working with her husband, Wesley Dozier, to surprise Wesley’s mother, Cynthia Dozier.

    PLAINVILLE — Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire in a large garage Saturday afternoon .
    Southington, Farmington, along with Plainville Fire Departments arrived on scene to 15 Cronk Road around 4 p.m.
    FOX61’s Michael Howard was on the scene of the fire and said that firefighters began an external attack of the fire.
    The garage has at least ten bays, said Howard.

    HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Frigid temperatures are causing water main breaks in Connecticut communities.
    Officials in the suburb of West Hartford say about 32 homes have been affected by two water main breaks Saturday. The Metropolitan District said one of the breaks was fixed by the afternoon, restoring water to about 19 homes. But the drinking water and sewage service agency says another main rupture is affecting another 13 homes.

    WEST HARTFORD — Cold weather can create havoc with water pipes, as residents in West Hartford and Plymouth are finding out.
    The Metropolitan District Commission said that a water main break on Cassilis Road in West Hartford interrupted service to 19 homes from #26 Cassilis Road to Webster Hill Boulevard.  Service was restored to residents by 12:23 p.m., said the MDC.

    TORRINGTON —  Torrington police are asking for the public’s help in finding Shalyiah Rodriguez, 16, who went missing last month.
    Police said Rodriguez was last seen on December 5, and has been in verbal contact with family members stating that she is safe. But police said they need to make in-person contact with her to make sure she is safe.
