    HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut regulators are reviewing whether electric customers should expect lower rates, thanks to the new federal tax law.
    Utilities regulated by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority are allowed to incorporate certain federal income tax obligations into the rates they charge customers. The new federal tax law included a corporate tax cut that benefits regulated utilities.
    DPUC will consider whether rates should be adjusted to reflect the federal tax changes.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) – Longtime Yale football coach Carmen “Carm” Cozza has died at 87.
    The university says he died Thursday.
    Cozza led Yale to a share of 10 Ivy League titles during 32 years as coach.
    He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2002.

    HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has decided not to issue a travel ban as a winter storm that could bring more than a foot of snow moves into Connecticut.

    HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut plans to award at least three new licenses for medical marijuana dispensaries, adding to the nine already in operation.
    The state Department of Consumer Protection announced a request for applications for new facilities on Wednesday.
    Consumer Protection Commissioner Michelle Seagull says the medical marijuana program is growing rapidly and the dispensaries will help meet rising demand.
    Applicants have until April 9 to respond to the application request.

    HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Residents across a huge swath of the U.S. awakened Thursday to the beginnings of a massive winter storm expected to deliver snow, ice and high winds followed by possible record-breaking cold as it moves up the Eastern Seaboard from the Carolinas to Maine.
