    ANAHEIM, Calif. — A power outage hit parts of Disneyland on Wednesday, leaving some tourists stranded on rides, according to park spokesperson Suzi Brown.
    The outage came during a busy holiday season at the Anaheim, California, attraction.
    A transformer issue cut power to all of Mickey’s Toontown and parts of Fantasyland, Brown said. About a dozen attractions are affected by the outage and guests are being escorted off the rides, Brown said.

    LEDYARD — A woman has been accused of trying to snort cocaine inside a Connecticut police station while waiting to be booked on unrelated charges.
    Police say Nicole Hunter was charged on Christmas Day with possession of narcotics, interfering with an officer and disorderly conduct.
    Police had arrested Hunter after a confrontation at her home in Ledyard while investigating a report of an erratic driver. They say the vehicle involved matched the one in Hunter’s driveway.

    COCOA, Fla. (WGHP)  — A Florida man was arrested after he allegedly punched an ATM because it was “giving him too much money,” according to Florida Today.

    (CBS Connecticut)  — Longtime Connecticut radio reporter Fran Schneidau died Tuesday night, friends reported. She was 79.
    Schneidau worked for WCBS 880 for almost 40 years, before retiring earlier this year as Connecticut bureau chief. WCBS is owned by the same company that owns WTIC, Entercom.

    HAMPTON, Conn. (WTIC) – State police have identified the man killed Tuesday afternoon when the pickup truck he was driving slammed into a house on Route 6, also known as Hartford Turnpike, in Hampton.
    Police say Patrick Dunn, 32, of New London, was pronounced dead after the pickup truck, owned by Asplundh Tree Expert of Stafford Springs, struck the home at 465 Hartford Turnpike around half past noon.
