    BEACON FALLS, Conn. (AP) — Police say a 1-year-old child who was thrown from a vehicle in a rollover crash in Connecticut was not seriously hurt.
    Police say the driver of the vehicle, Alex Malave, was traveling in the left lane Friday in the town of Beacon Falls when he veered left on to a grassy median and then back to the right, crashing into another car.

    DANBURY, Conn. (AP) — Lawyers for the parents of two children killed in the 2012 Newtown, Connecticut, school shooting massacre are arguing a judge should not toss out the families’ wrongful-death lawsuit against the town and its school district.

    STRATFORD, Conn. (AP) — More than 4,000 runners and walkers took part in an annual 5K race in Stratford, Connecticut, to honor a first-grade teacher killed in the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting.
    The crowd sang happy birthday to Vicki Soto, a Stratford native who would have turned 32 years old on Saturday.
    She was killed along with five other educators and 20 first-grade students in Newtown on Dec. 14, 2012.

  • New Haven Man Killed In 691 Crash

    (Meriden, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – State Police say a crash earlier this morning in Meriden has left a New Haven resident dead.
    36-year-old Anthony Irias was killed when his 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed through a guard rail off the left shoulder along Interstate 691 near exit 8 eastbound.
    The jeep went down an embankment before coming to rest on its roof.
    The accident took place around 8:40.
