    HARTFORD —  Police said a Hartford man died Tuesday afternoon after he was shot early Sunday morning. Hartford police said Allen Cox, 25, of Hartford was the victim who was shot around 12:38 a.m. on 35 Whitmore Street. Police said when they arrived to the scene, they located Cox unresponsive from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. Police said Cox was treated at the scene where he was then taken to Hartford Hospital where he was listed in critical condition. “

    HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – A Connecticut woman who pleaded guilty earlier this year to her role in the overdose death of a 17-year-old girl in a motel room is headed to prison.
    The U.S. Attorney’s office says 43-year-old Adele Bouthillier, of Groton, was sentenced Tuesday in Hartford federal court to four years behind bars for charges of sex trafficking and heroin distribution.

    (CBS Connecticut) — A New Britain man has been charged in an alleged murder for hire case.
    Talal Qatabi faces charged of attempted murder with special circumstances and inciting injury to persons or property.  Murder with special circumstances is the part of the law that includes murder for hire.
    The 22-year-old was arrested late yesterday morning and held overnight on bond.
    He is due in court in New Britain today.

    TOLLAND, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – Connecticut State Police say two 15-year-old youths sustained minor injuries when the 33-year-old car one of them was driving crashed.
    Troopers responded to the crash in Tolland on Shenipsit Lake Road at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday and found both teens outside the vehicle, a 1984 Mercedes-Benz.
    Police determined the car was “traveling unreasonably fast” when it left the road, sideswiped a tree and “came to an uncontrolled rest.”
