• 1 man in critical condition in early morning Hartford shooting

    HARTFORD — Police are investigating an early morning shooting Saturday that left one man in critical condition. At 12:38 a.m.  police responded to Whitmore Street on calls of a person being shot. When Police arrived, they located an unresponsive man suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. The man was transported to Hartford Hospital were he is listed in critical condition. Officers said that this is an ongoing investigation.

    HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Hartford police say a man was unresponsive when they found him shot multiple times on Whitmore Street early Saturday.
    Officers were called to a multi-family home at 35 Whitmore St. around half-past midnight on a report of a person shot. The victim was taken to Hartford Hospital, where he was reported in critical condition, said police.
    As of late Saturday afternoon, police had not made an arrest.

  • Police: Teen Hit By School Bus In Stable Condition

    MERIDEN, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – Police say a teen by a school bus in Meriden is in stable condition after undergoing surgery.
    Officials say the 17-year-old Wilcox Technical High School student was hit Friday while riding a skateboard in front of Platt High School.
    Lt. Tom Cossette tells the Record-Journal that the student underwent ankle surgery and is reported to be in stable condition.
    School officials have not identified the student, which is from Meriden.

    HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – A New Britain man convicted of shooting his neighbor’s cat with a BB gun in 2012 is taking his case to the Connecticut Supreme Court.
