    (CBS Connecticut) — Plainfield Police today revealed that they are investigating a possible crime at the town’s fire department.
    Plainfield officers searched the Fire Department on Norwich Road in Plainfield at 5:30 pm Thursday.
    Other fire departments were put on notice to respond to any fires or other calls during the search.
    Investigators say public safety was maintained.

  • Southington Plagued By 10 Vehicle Burglaries Over Weekend

    SOUTHINGTON, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – A string of vehicle burglaries over the weekend has Southington Police reminding residents to lock their vehicle doors and not leave the keys inside.
    Police report that ten vehicle burglaries took place in town between Saturday and Sunday, including two in which the car was stolen.  Each of the burglaries occurred in the southwest part of town.
    Authorities say in all the cases, the vehicles were left unlocked.
