    (MIDDLETOWN,Conn./CBS Connecticut)– State Police have arrested a Cromwell man following a lengthy investigation.In January staff at Middletown Superior Court contacted State Police and requested the investigation after receiving communications they believed were threatening in nature.

    COVENTRY — A boil water advisory that was issued Thursday for the Pilgrim Hills neighborhood in Coventry has been lifted according to Connecticut Water officials. Lab results confirm that water quality was not affected bythe low pressure situation that occured Thursday, and that the water is safe to drink. The precautionary advisory was issued after a construction company or contractor struck a water main line and the water pressure dropped. The advisory and testing was standard procedure.

    HARTFORD, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – The Connecticut Supreme Court has ruled that schools must warn and protect students from the foreseeable risk of insect-borne diseases when organizing trips abroad.
    The 5-0 ruling Friday came in the case of a private boarding school student who became ill and suffered brain damage on a trip to China. Justices also said a $41.5 million verdict awarded to the student in a federal court lawsuit should not be reduced.

    (Coventry, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – The boil water advisory for a portion of Coventry has been lifted.
    Those serviced by the Pilgrim Hills public water system were advised to boil their water on Thursday after a crew struck a water main and the water pressure dropped.
    Connecticut Water Company says the advisory was canceled after lab tests confirmed the water quality was not impacted and that it was safe to drink.
    The advisory had impacted between 75 and 100 customers.

    EAST HAMPTON, Conn. (CBS Connecticut)_ East Hampton police have arrested a Kansas man accused of pointing a gun at campers on Mott Hill Road last night.
    Police arrested 33-year-old Lee Mitchell on charges of possession of a firearm while under the influence and other offenses.
    Police say Mitchell had a loaded gun on the front seat of his vehicle when the officer pulled him over on the Lake Drive. Campers also told police the man was driving erratically.
