    HARTFORD —  On Tuesday afternoon, Congressman John Larson (D-Hartford) announced plans to introduce the ‘America Wins Act.’ The bill would invest $1 trillion in infrastructure over the next 10 years.     NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – Glen Campbell, the grinning, high-pitched entertainer who had such hits as “Rhinestone Cowboy” and spanned country, pop, television and movies, has died.
    He was 81.
    Campbell’s publicist Sandy Brokaw says the singer died Tuesday morning in Nashville. No cause was immediately given.
    Campbell announced in June 2011 that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and that it was in its early stages at that time.

    (CBS Connecticut) — In newly-released court documents, police describe video they obtained of the hit-and-run death of a grandmother.
    Police say driver Deykevious Russaw can be seen in a video of an earlier minor crash involving the stolen SUV and a school bus.

    NEW HAVEN — A Meriden man from Ecuador, scheduled to be deported Tuesday, has entered sanctuary in a New Haven church. Marco Reyes had been living in Meriden since 1997 with his family.     (Milford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – In Milford, police are charging a New Haven man with sexual assault.
    The say 26-year-old Jose Luis Sahagun bumped into a patron at a Connecticut Post Mall kiosk. Police say the suspect bumped her a second time and groped her from behind, while the alleged victim was with her 6-year-old child.
    Police say the woman noticed Sahagun interacting with other women in the mall and alert security who, in turn, kep watch over the suspect until police arrived.

    MANCHESTER, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – Officials in Manchester say they have a solution to the periodic stench emanating from a commercial landfill, which residents say can range from “rotten eggs” to “hot garbage.”
