  KENT, Conn. (CBS Connecticut) – Firefighters from Connecticut and New York are battling a large brush fire on Schaghticoke Mountain in Kent, said Connecticut environmental officials Wednesday afternoon.

  KENT, Conn. (CBS Connecticut and AP) – A Connecticut boarding school is being sued on allegations that a teacher repeatedly sexually assaulted a female student in the late 1980s.

• Man Dead In New Haven Crash

  (New Haven, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – New Haven police are investigating a fatal crash last night involving an SUV and motorcycle.
  Just before 8 p.m. police and emergency personnel were called to the scene at Judson Avenue and Mead Street.
  The operator of the motorcycle, 36-year-old Jermaine Witherspoon of Hamden, died shortly after arriving at the hospital.

  (Hartford, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has issued alerts for elevated levels of ozone in parts of the state for today and tomorrow.
  DEEP says the air quality is expected to be unhealthy for sensitive groups in the coastal New Haven area today and for much of the state on Thursday.
