  (ESSEX,Conn./CBS Connecticut)  – One person was killed  this morning  when their vehicle left Route 9 northbound near the  Old Saybrook- Essex town line and went down an embankment.It happened around  6:30 am.

   NORWALK, Conn. (AP) _ Authorities say a Connecticut man has died after a house fire that was difficult to put out because of hoarding conditions that included trash piles and narrow walkways.
  Firefighters responded to the blaze at the three-story house in Norwalk on Saturday afternoon. Firefighters from several area towns were called in to help.

• Norwalk FD: Man dies from house fire; hoarding conditions delayed rescue

  NORWALK —  One man died after a fire broke out to a three-story home Saturday afternoon. Around 1:14 p.m., Norwalk Fire Department responded to a house fire on 30 West Rocks Road. Firefighters said when they arrived, they saw heavy fire blazing from the second and third floor. Firefighters said they immediately began searching anyone in home. A man was found by firefighters on the first floor where he was immediately taken out the home. Norwalk hospital began CPR to the man
