    BROOKLYN, Conn. (AP) — One person was killed in a car crash on Route 169 in Connecticut.
    WFSB-TV reports that the crash happened around 4 a.m. Sunday in the town of Brooklyn.
    State police say the driver was killed in the crash. He was identified as 36-year-old Randy Mayo, of Moosup.
    The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

    Police Investigating 2 Shootings That May Be Related
    NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Police say they are investigating two shootings in New Haven that appear to be related.
    Police responded to the first shooting just after 2 p.m. Sunday on a residential street. The victim, 28-year-old Taevon Alston, was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
    Minutes later, 33-year-old Harold Herring walked into another nearby hospital seeking treatment for a gunshot wound. Police say Herring’s condition is listed as critical but stable.
