    BRIDGEPORT–Police have made an arrest in a homicide from earlier this year.
    On Wednesday evening, around 5:30 p.m., Bridgeport Police tried to pull over a Toyota Corolla on Park Avenue, near the intersection with Benham Avenue after the car ran a stop sign. The driver pulled over for a moment, and then sped off.

    HARTFORD–A man has been arrested after an altercation at Hartford’s City Hall on Thursday.
    Anthony Halloway, 55, of Hartford, arrived at City Hall and was allegedly disruptive and made a statement implying he wanted to kill Mayor Pedro Segarra.
    He was arrested without incident and charged with breach of peace in the second degree.
    City officials say they don’t believe Halloway is a city employee, so it’s not clear if he has any connection the mayor.

    NEW HAVEN - It has been a long-standing traffic problem for New Haven.
    The south side of the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge, crossing over the Quinnipiac River, is just about ready to receive a whole lot of traffic.

    (Wethersfield, Conn./CBS Connecticut) – Connecticut added 3,200 jobs in August.
    The state Department of Labor says the unemployment rate dropped to 5.3%.
    That figure is down  one-tenth of a percentage point from July and a full percentage point from the same time a year ago.
    The figures bring the number of jobs in the state to a seasonally adjusted level just under 1.7 million.
    Labor department officials say the unemployment rate hasn’t been this low since May of 2008.
