    PALISADE, Colo. (CBS4) — In August many people enjoy a trip to the Western Slope for the annual Palisade Peach Festival. Sadly, that won’t be an option this year.

    On Wednesday, the Palisade Chamber of Commerce announced that it will cancel the festival this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The peach festival usually brings some 15,000 people to Palisade. The chamber says it will hopefully be a go in 2021.

Julio Andres Gonzalez-Palacios, 23, was arrested in a separate assault and burglary case in Denver on July 9. He was released from the Denver Justice Center on July 10.
