    Police Take To Social Media For Fight Against Auto Thefts
    AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – The Aurora Police Department is taking to social media to help fight against auto thefts.
    More than 1,100 vehicles were stolen in the city so far this year, which is up nearly 15 percent from last year.
    Aurora police are now posting all reports of stolen cars to a new Twitter and Facebook page. It lists the vehicle description and plate number. The goal is to get that information out the public so they can help police find the stolen cars.

    EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Authorities in Eagle County are checking local trails after tack strips and barbed wire were found on a popular mountain biking trail.

    A cyclist took pictures of the dangerous obstacles. They’ve since been cleaned up now crews also checked nearby trails.

    Students Hospitalized After Crash Involving School Bus
    DENVER (CBS4) – Several people were injured following a crash involving a school bus in Denver on Friday.
    Two cars collided at 39th Avenue and Fox Street and one of them careened into the bus.

    There were 34 students were on the bus. Five of them and the driver of one of the cars went to the hospital, but police say the injuries are not serious.
    It’s not clear who was at fault and no names have been released.

    Police Arrest Man Accused In Fatal Stabbing
    DENVER (CBS4) – Police in Denver have arrested a suspect in a fatal stabbing that occurred last Monday night.

    According to police, Lorenzo Mark Simental, 21, is accused of stabbing Jordan Valdez, 23, to death near the intersection of West Mexico Avenue and South Raleigh Street.
    Simental remains in custody on first-degree murder charges.

    DENVER (CBS4) – Police in Denver would like the public’s help identifying a suspect in an unlawful sexual contact case.
    According to police, the incident happened on Oct. 16 at approximately 5 p.m. in the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Beeler Street.
    The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 6 feet tall with an athletic build. He has thick brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing turquoise athletic shorts.

    Driver Returns To Scene Of Hit & Run Crash, Is Arrested
    DENVER (CBS4) – A 52-year-old man is under arrest and suspected of causing a crash that injured a motorcycle rider and then leaving the scene.
    It happened on Friday morning at East Iliff Avenue and South Valencia Street in unincorporated Arapahoe County.
    The driver suspected of causing the wreck was driving a gold sedan. Police say about two hours after the crash, he returned to the scene and was arrested.

    STERLING, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say they recovered more than 26,000 pieces of undelivered mail in northeastern Colorado and arrested a former Postal Service worker.
    The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Friday the recovered mail was addressed to people in Sterling and Fort Morgan. Authorities haven’t said where or how they found it.

    WALDEN, Colo. (CBS4) – A juvenile is being charged with starting a wildfire that burned 38,000 acres near Walden over the summer.
    The Beaver Creek Fire broke out on June 19 near the Colorado-Wyoming border.
    One residence was destroyed.

    EVERGREEN, Colo. (CBS4) – The Evergreen Cougars will be playing without two players at Friday night’s football game against the Conifer Lobos after a bullying case came to light this week.
