    The LA Zoo announced the birth in a news release.
    According to the zoo, N’djia  — a 25-year-old female critically endangered western lowland gorilla — gave birth Saturday.
    This marks the first gorilla birth in over 20 years, according to the zoo, and the first for N’djia.
    Mom and baby are doing well, and spent Saturday bonding.
