    RIVERSIDE (CBSLA) – A massive illegal marijuana grow spanning an entire city block was discovered by authorities in Riverside after neighbors noticed a strong smell.
    About 40,000 plants were found inside of a nursery greenhouse, with the potential to produce 20,000 pounds of pot, an estimated street value of $20 million.

    ARCADIA (CBSLA) – Authorities have arrested a man believed to be the suspect in the murder of a 76-year-old woman in Arcadia.
    Heber Enoc Diaz, 27, was arrested on suspicion of killing Chyong Jen Tsai, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
    According to sheriff’s officials, Tsai’s body was found by a construction crew in the backyard of her home on April 9.

  • Man Who Was Shot Alongside Nipsey Hussle Released From Jail

    LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A man who was shot alongside rapper Nipsey Hussle last month, a parolee who was jailed because he was with the slain performer at the time he was fatally shot, was released from jail Saturday morning.
    Lathan, 56, was one of two men wounded with Hussle when the rap star was gunned down outside his Hyde Park clothing store on March 31.

  • Alleged Dana Point Bank Robber Found Dead After Chase, Standoff In Santa Margarita

    RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA (CBSLA) – A man suspected of being the Leatherface Bandit led authorities on a chase Friday that ended with a crash in Rancho Santa Margarita, where a standoff ensued.
    Police eventually found the suspect dead inside of the vehicle.  The cause of death was not immediately released.

    GRAND TERRACE (CBSLA)  — Homicide detectives in Grand Terrace on Friday announced the arrest of a suspect wanted for the murder of a beloved skating rink owner last month.
    Detectives said they arrested Tre’elle Potts, 25, on Wednesday for the murder of 43-year-old Ryan Harsany.
    Officials are remaining mum on what led them to Potts or details about his arrest.
