(WIVB) -- An Angola man was sentenced Thursday morning after he crashed into another vehicle while under the influence last spring and killed an 8-year-old child, the Erie County District Attorney's Office said.Markus Genovese, 53, was driving a pickup truck under the influence of drugs and alcohol around 8:10 p.m. on June 8, 2024 when the collision occurred. He also did not have a valid license at the time.The incident happened at an intersection on Route 5 in Hamburg.
