    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Bills defense needed a takeaway.  They finally got it.
    With the Chiefs driving on what could have been a potential game-winning drive, Bills rookie Tre’Davious White intercepted Alex Smith to secure a 16-10 win for Buffalo.
    Making his first start since being benched in favor of rookie Nathan Peterman, Tyrod Taylor tossed for 183 yards and a touchdown.  He only attempted five passes in the second half.

  • Internal investigation issued by Greece and Rochester Police after reports of missing child

    GREECE/ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) – The Greece Police Department confirms it is investigating a missing child report late Thursday into early Friday morning involving the son of an off-duty Rochester Police Investigator.
    Several police agencies were called to help look for that child, including State Troopers and a K-9 unit.
    Chief Patrick Phelan told News 8 his officers were called around 2:30 a.m. to a home on Sherri Ann Lane for reports of a missing 3-year-old child.

  • PA teen born without arms overcomes adversity, takes on biggest challenge yet

    SHINGLEHOUSE, P.A. (WIVB)- 17-year-old Noah Howard has been different his whole life.
    “Just being different in a small town in itself is really hard to do,” he tells News 4.
    Noah was born without arms.
    “There was no really medical explanation it just kind of happened naturally,” he says.
    He lives in Shinglehouse, Pennsylvania. It’s a borough of Potter County near the New York border with about 2,000 people.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A day after snapping a seven game losing streak, the Sabres were unable to build off their win on Friday, falling to Carey Price and the Canadiens 3-1 on Saturday.
    Robin Lehner, who started after earning the win on Friday, kept the Sabres in the game with several big saves but only managed to save 23 of the 26 shots he faced.

  • Buffalo man recovering from multiple gunshot wounds

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Buffalo Police say a man was shot multiple times Saturday evening on the 500 block of Wyoming Ave.
    Around 7:15 p.m., Northeast District officers were called to the scene. Police tell us a 37 year old Buffalo man had multiple gunshot wounds.
    The victim was taken to ECMC where he was listed in serious condition.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – As if there weren’t all ready enough injuries and issues on the offensive side of the ball, when he returns under center against the Chiefs on Sunday, Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor will be without his No. 1 wide receiver.
    Kelvin Benjamin, who suffered a knee injury in the Bills’ loss to the Chargers, did not travel with the team to Kansas City and will not play.  He was originally listed as “questionable” for Sunday’s game.

  • Life-size gingerbread village on display in Niagara Falls

    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB)- The Niagara Falls Culinary Institute is offering a winter wonderland experience this Christmas.
    It unveiled its new life-sized gingerbread village on Saturday.
    Pastry Chef Manager Kara Guariglia told News 4 it consists of about 2,000 pounds of gingerbread dough and 1,600 pounds of icing.
    The culinary students crafted homes, a doggy day care, a ski shop and a bakery.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- A holiday market kicked off in the Elmwood Village on Saturday.
    St. John’s Grace Episcopal Church every Saturday until Jan. 13.
    There are more than 20 vendors, including local farmers and artisans. They’re selling everything from delicious baked goods to soaps and other gifts.

    LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB)- The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office has located missing 15 year old Jenna Brooks.
    Officials tell us she ran away from Wnydam Lawn Campus on Nov. 23.
    She is about 5’3″ tall and about 160 pounds. Deputies tell us she has blonde or orange hair and brown eyes.
    Brooks was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, maroon scarf and skateboard sneakers.
    Deputies tell us she was located around 10:15 p.m.
