    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Archbishop Stepinac scored 26 unanswered points in the third quarter to pull away and secure a 49-28 win over Canisius in the Catholic State Championship on Saturday.
    The Crusaders, who entered as the defending champions, finish the season with a 9-4 overall record.  Stepinac has won two of the last championships, including a win over St. Francis in 2015.

    MIAMI (AP modified) — U.S. Border patrol agents detained a Florida teenager at the Peace Bridge whom police want to interview in connection with the death of his grandmother.Officials in Florida started looking for the 15-year-old and his 53-year-old grandmother on Wednesday after they failed to pick up the teen’s father at the airport. The father had been on vacation with his girlfriend and his mother was watching her grandson while they were gone.

  • Extradition hearing for wanted Florida teen could happen this week

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — An extradition hearing for a Florida teen and person of interest in a murder is expected to happen this week, and possibly as soon as tomorrow.
    15-year-old Logan Mott was taken into custody by U.S. Customs and Border Protection Friday after making a wrong turn at the Peace Bridge.
    As of Sunday evening he is still in custody in Buffalo, but Buffalo Police say Florida authorities have arrived here.
