    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Police reports show Sutherland Springs church shooter Devin Kelley escaped from a mental health facility shortly after the military charged him with assault against his then-wife and stepson.
    KPRC requested copies of the report, which showed Kelley was picked up by El Paso officers at a bus terminal in downtown El Paso, Texas on June 13, 2012. He had been living at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico at the time, which is about 94 miles away.

  • University Police make arrest in public lewdness incident in UB sauna

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – University at Buffalo Police have arrested a man in connection with a public lewdness incident that occurred in a sauna at Alumni Arena in October.
    University Police arrested Scott V. Sciuto of the City of Buffalo on Monday. He was charged with two counts of unlawful imprisonment, public lewdness, and acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17.

  • Pennsylvania State Police trooper shot during traffic stop

    NAZARETH, Pa. (AP) — A Pennsylvania State Police corporal was shot several times while exchanging gunfire with a suspect during a traffic stop Tuesday morning, and the suspect was also wounded, authorities said.
    The shooting happened on a highway in Plainfield Township, Northampton County, about 65 miles north of Philadelphia. The corporal was outside his vehicle when he traded gunfire with the suspect, police said .

    MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A California auction house says a guitar that Prince used in the late 1980s and into the 1990s has been sold for $700,000. That’s the highest amount paid for one of the late rock star’s guitars.

  • Crews at air base near Las Vegas pay tribute to shooting victims

    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (WIVB) — Crews at Nellis Air Force Base, just outside of Las Vegas, are paying tribute to those who lost their lives and those who were injured in last month’s deadly attack.
    They recently painted an F-15 fighter jet with the words “Vegas Strong” along the side and a mural of the Las Vegas skyline on the rudder.
    The plane will make its debut at the Aviation Nation Air and Space Expo this weekend.

    The domestic incident happened on Windwood Courts, according to police.

    WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) — An overheated phone charger began smoking at a Williamsville high school Monday, causing firefighters to respond.

    The fire happened in Williamsville South High School’s cafeteria.

    DELEVAN, N.Y. (WIVB) — New York State Police are investigating a fatal vehicle accident in Cattaraugus County.
    The incident, which involved a car and a dump truck, happened at the intersection of Highway 16 and Stranburg Ave. in the Town of Delevan.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Amazon is looking to fill hundreds of seasonal positions for its sortation center in western New York.
    The company will be conducting interviews from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

  • 2 found dead in basement after tornado hits Erie

    ERIE, Pa. (WIVB) — Sunday night’s storm produced a tornado that turned deadly.
    Police told WIVB’s sister station in Erie, Pennsylvania that two men were found in the basement of a home that was damaged by a tornado.
    Authorities say they had been checking out a water leak in the basement.
    Police are still trying to determine how they died, but the destruction from the tornado is thought to have played a part.
