    LAS VEGAS, NV (CBS) – In a press conference in Las Vegas on Tuesday, officials said that the shooting was “pre-planned extensively”, based on the type and amount of weaponry found in Stephen Paddock’s hotel room.

  • Husband of Grand Island woman injured in hit and run files lawsuit against driver, town, county

    GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) – The husband of Dana Papaj, the Grand Island woman struck by a hit-and-run driver in Grand Island while walking her dog in June, has filed a lawsuit against the driver of the vehicle and his girlfriend, as well as the co-lessee of the 2017 Dodge Ram pickup truck and the company through which it was leased.
    Donald Papaj also named Erie County and the Town of Grand Island as defendants in the lawsuit.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The former Buffalo Jills won a victory in their lawsuit against the NFL and Bills defendants in appeals court.
    The cheerleaders’ case will continue as a class action lawsuit, the Supreme Court Fourth Judicial Department Appellate Division ruled.     BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The NFTA is collecting donations for Hurricane Maria recovery efforts in Puerto Rico.
    Items being accepted include the following:

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Crews in Buffalo are calling a morning fire on Rustic Pl. suspicious.
    The fire began around 8:30 a.m. at a large, 2.5 story house.

    The threats were made in person and on social media, authorities say.
