  • HBO programming stolen in cyberattack

    NEW YORK (AP) — HBO has had some of its programming stolen in what is being described as a cyber incident.
    The company says that it is working with law enforcement and cybersecurity firms.
    HBO CEO Richard Pepler says in an email to the network’s employees that “proprietary information” was stolen in the hack. Spokesman Jeff Cusson would not comment on which specific TV episodes, movies or other video the hackers made off with.

  • 69-year-old dies after tractor rolls over

    EAST AURORA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 69-year-old man was killed when a tractor rolled over on him Monday morning.
    East Aurora police say that around 10:50 a.m., they responded to an address on Behm Rd.
    There, they say Karl Huber Jr. had been driving a tractor and was trying to drag a stump across his yard. That’s when the vehicle rolled on him.
    Huber was pronounced dead at the scene.

    NEW YORK (AP) — Riding-sharing company Uber plans to launch its own credit card, partnering with the British bank Barclays.
    The card will be coming later this year, Barclays said last week.
    Uber would be the first of the riding-sharing companies to have a co-branded credit card, which are a popular way for companies to cement customer loyalty. They typically give points or credits toward awards, with the most popular cards offering airlines and hotels.

    LOS ANGELES (AP) — Los Angeles has reached an agreement with international Olympic leaders that will open the way for the city to host the 2028 Summer Games.
    City Council President Herb Wesson’s office on Monday confirmed the deal.
    Spokeswoman Caolinn Mejza says the pact is expected to be reviewed by the council later this week.

    DARIEN, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Genesee County Sheriff’s office says six people were charged with crimes at the Sunday Brantley Gilbert concert at Darien Lake.
    Perry resident Scott Davis, 25, Hamburg resident Christopher Colin, 23, and Wayne County resident Theodoret Adriaansen, 25, were charged with trespassing after authorities say they re-entered the venue after they were ejected.

  • Elba man charged with rape of 16-year-old in Allegany County

    ELBA, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Elba man has been charged with Third-Degree Rape and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
    New York State Police say Danilo Ramirez-Lopez, 21, befriended a 16-year-old girl on Facebook before driving to her home and engaging in a sexual act with her at another place.
    According to authorities, this happened on Sunday in Allegany County. On the same day, Troopers arrested him.
    Ramirez-Lopez was then jailed in Allegany County on $10,000 bail.

    ATTICA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Early Sunday morning, police in Attica say they arrested a man for domestic violence.
    Officers went to a residence on Prospect St. shortly after 3 a.m. that day. Once they arrived, an investigation began that led to the arrest of 39-year-old Adam Jellison.
    Jellison was charged with Aggravated Harassment, Assault, Criminal Mischief, Unlawful Imprisonment and Strangulation.

    BOSTON, N.Y. (WIVB) — A K9 team was able to locate a man on Saturday after he ran into the woods in Boston.
    The Erie County Sheriff’s office says a man in his mid-twenties got into an argument with his family before running into the woods during the afternoon.

  • Building in West Seneca destroyed in fire

    WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Arson investigators were called to the scene of a fire Sunday morning on Mineral Springs Road.
    The fire broke out around 4 a.m.
