    Puppies found in trash can in Buffalo now being cared for by new mom at SPCA
    BUFFALO, N.Y.–
    Six puppies found abandoned in a trash can in the city of Buffalo Friday morning are being nursed back to health at the SPCA of Erie County by an new mom. The puppies are now being cared for by a foster mom, a pit bull named Belinda.
    Bethany Kloc, communications manager at the SPCA of Erie County, said Belinda and her puppies were surrendered to the SPCA Thursday as strays. Kloc said only two of her several puppies survived.

    2 charged in killings of missing Pennsylvania men
    DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (AP) — An admitted drug dealer with a history of mental illness was charged Friday with the killings of four Pennsylvania men who vanished a week ago. A second suspect was also arrested and charged in three of the deaths.
    Cosmo DiNardo, 20, is charged with all four homicides and 20 other counts, including abuse of corpse, conspiracy and robbery, according to court documents. Sean Kratz, 20, faces 20 counts, including three of criminal homicide.

    WEST SENECA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Six puppies were found in a garbage can, and are now in the care of the SPCA Serving Erie County.
    A mother dog was taken in by the SPCA this week, and she gave birth to two puppies. The others were found after this.
    Due to what the SPCA calls a “good, strong maternal instinct,” the mother dog has been taking care of the other puppies.

    Royalton man sentenced to 15 years in jail for killing infant son
    ROYALTON, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Royalton man will spend the next 15 years in prison for killing his infant son.
    Dillon Hossbach was sentenced Thursday. He pleaded guilty to manslaughter back in May.
    Last year, Hossbach was accused of killing his six-month-old son Liam.
    He initially told police that his son got sick, but an autopsy found the boy was a victim of trauma.

    NEWFANE, N.Y. (WIVB) — Shortly after 11 p.m. on Thursday, the Niagara County Sheriff’s office responded to a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian in Newfane.

    Cayuga Creek in Lancaster clocks record high water levels
    LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB) — Thursday morning rain showers caused high water levels at Cayuga Creek in Lancaster.
    The National Weather Service reported the levels were above flood stage at about 11 feet.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to raping two women at his Busti Avenue residence in Fall 2015.
    Aaron Lucas, 38, pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree rape.
    According to a press release from the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, Lucas forced the women to engage in various sexual acts by means of fear and coercion. During the investigation, Buffalo Police seized several weapons, including a sword, gun, and machete.
