    Former Trump campaign adviser from WNY will testify in D.C.
    WASHINGTON, D.C. (WIVB) – A Western New Yorker and former campaign adviser for President Donald Trump will testify July 14 before the House Committee into Russia’s ties to the 2016 election.
    Caputo was sent a letter asking him to testify May 9.
    In May, Caputo told News 4 he has complied with that request by responding that he doesn’t have any documents relevant to the investigation. He would not give us any further details.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Emails found at the home of political operative Steve Pigeon will not be used against him in court.
    State Supreme Court Justice Donald Cerio ruled the emails were obtained improperly, and suppressed them as evidence in the case against Pigeon for election law violations.
    This comes as a big win for Pigeon, as investigators say the emails, obtained during a raid of his home in 2015, contain important proof of his alleged crimes.

    UPDATE: CBS NEWS is reporting shooter is down, deceased at hospital, 4 to 6 people have gunshot wounds or injuries. 
    NEW YORK — Police in New York City are responding to a report of shots fired at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, CBS New York reports.
    The incident began just before 3 p.m. at 173rd Street and Grand Concourse in the Mt. Eden section of the Bronx.

    No one to be held criminally responsible for death of Niagara County inmate
    LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — Niagara County District Attorney Caroline Wojtaszek says no one will be held criminally responsible for the death of a county jail inmate.
    The decision comes following an investigation into the death of DeJuan Hunt.
    Back in February, the Erie County Medical Examiner ruled the death of Hunt, 25, a homicide.
    DeJuan Hunt, 25, died while jailed in Niagara County near the end of August. The county Sheriff’s office said he died in his sleep.

    Man dies following logging accident
    GENESEE FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Belfast man has died as the result of a logging accident in Wyoming County.
    Last week, New York State Park Police and fire companies responded to a property off of Glen Iris Rd. in Genesee Falls.
    Once they arrived, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s office was also contacted.
    Herbert Howe III was found injured, and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
    Howe died from his injuries on Monday.

    YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) — A bison rammed and injured a husband and wife as they were taking photographs in Yellowstone National Park.
