    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A total of $2,500 in reward money is being offered for information leading to the arrest or indictment of the person or persons responsible for the homicide of Robert Green.
    Green was shot and killed Aug. 22 at 389 Plymouth Ave. in Buffalo.

    SOUTH WALES, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Erie County Sheriff’s Department will host a car seat check Wednesday at Emery Park, 2084 Emery Road.
    Deputies will be on hand from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the park’s upper ski hill parking lot for the free check. Deputies will be checking the condition and installation of car seats and providing free, expert instructions for the proper installation of the car seat.
    Each seat check takes approximately 20 minutes.

    ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) – Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed legislation today to raise the age of consent from 14 to 18, ending child marriage in New York.
    The new law also amends the process to recover parental and judicial consent for  marriage of those between 17 and 18 years old.

    Woman accused of letting young kids outside unsupervised in cold weather
    BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Batavia woman was arrested and accused of letting her young kids outside in the cold without supervision or adequate clothing.
    The Genesee County Sheriff’s office says Tesla Plantiko, 25, was sleeping while her children were out in temperatures that were in the low 20s.
    The day the Sheriff’s office says this happened was not specified, but a complaint about Plantiko was filed on the first day of February.
