    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) —Today the 60th annual Allentown Art Festival kicked off. The nice weather helped to get thousands of people outside and shopping.
    There’s always something unique to see at Allentown Art Festival. From music to art, this year vendors did not disappoint. They had everything from jewelry, to purses made of records, and art that has a prehistoric feel.

    Saturday Jet ski crash in Tonawanda seriously injures one
    TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB)- City of Tonawanda police and fire responded to a jet ski accident on Ellicott Creek Saturday afternoon.
    Officials say a “high performance ” jet ski crashed into another jet ski causing them to crash into the docks behind Smoke on the Water restaurant on Young Street.
    Three people were taken to the hospital following the crash. Two with non life-threatening injuries and one with serious injuries.
    Names of the those involved have not been release.

    AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) – An Army Staff Sergeant killed in action is being remembered today as volunteers build a new playground in Amherst park in his honor.
    Billy Wilson III was killed in Afghanistan in 2012. Kim and Bill Wilson put the final screws into a sign that reads “Billy Wilson Park,” Saturday.

    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — The countdown is on in Niagara Falls, the Wallendas return in just six days. Five years after Nik Wallenda walked across the falls, his wife will try to top him.
    Erendira Wallenda will attempt to break her husbands world record by hanging by her teeth from a helicopter, hovering 300 feet over the falls.
    The entire stunt is expected to last between 5 to 7 minutes.

    MILTON, Pa. (WIVB) – Over 700,000 lbs. of spaghetti and meatball products by Conagra Brands, Inc. have been recalled due to undeclared allergens.
    The products contain milk, an allergen not listed on the label.
    The products were produced on Jan. 5 2017 and Jan. 12 2017.
    The problem was discovered on June 6, when the company received notification from an ingredient supplier that the bread crumbs that the company received and used in the products potentially contained unclaimed milk.

    Man charged with attempted murder in Albion
    ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) –  A man is facing attempted murder charges after severely injuring an acquaintance during a physical altercation.
    Wesley Askew, Jr. 49, of Albion, was charged with second degree assault, first degree assault, and second degree attempted murder Friday.
    According to Albion Police reports, police and ambulance were dispatched to an apartment at 175 North Main Street in the village of Albion for a report of a person injured during an altercation.

    Roselle L. Murrell was sworn in as 45th Buffalo Postmaster Friday at the Old Buffalo Post Office, now Erie County Community College City Campus.
