    Buffalo has already completed $1 million in sidewalk work this seasons. The city is planning on investing $7.5 million in residential paving this season.

    The drive is a collaboration between WIVB/WNLO, the Food Bank of WNY, Wegmans and Fidelis Care and runs from June 4 through Sunday, June 18.
    To participate, all you have to do is pick up a $3, $5 or $10 pre-packaged bag of food at Wegmans and bring your bag to the cashier at checkout.

    The was re-designated to the 914th Air Refueling Wing during a ceremony at the air base on Saturday. KC-135 flying out of the air reserve station will provide other jets with fuel.
    It’s a major milestone for the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, which has faced concern over possible closing and struggling to find new missions.

    Brandon Guevara, 27, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after allegedly causing a disturbance at the concert venue, striking a Live Nation security officer and then resisting arrest.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – About 10,000 people turned out for Sunday’s Pride Parade down Elmwood Avenue.
    The annual Pride Parade is one of the biggest events of Buffalo’s Pride Festival, a celebration of LGBTQ rights.
    Buffalo’s Pride Week was held from May 30 to June 4 this year, the 26th year of the festival.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Fire broke out in a Hertel Avenue garage early Monday morning.
    The fire occurred in a two-story garage attached to a two and a half story building at 148 Hertel Ave around 12:18 a.m.
    According to the Buffalo Fire Department, the fire started on the first floor and extended to the second floor and attic.
    Three Buffalo firefighters suffered minor injuries and were transported to a hospital for evaluation.

    ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Five people are dead after a shooting inside a business in an industrial park on Monday.
    The situation has been contained and the shooter is dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.
    Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings said during a briefing Monday that the gunman was a disgruntled former employee who was fired in April.
    The sheriff says the shooting is not believed to have any link to terrorism.
    The shooting happened inside a business that manufactures awnings.

    Motorcyclist flown to ECMC after hitting deer
    TOWN OF STOCKTON, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 47-year-old man was flown to ECMC after he hit a deer while riding his motorcycle.
    The crash happened on Cassadaga Road just after 11 p.m. Saturday.
    Investigators say Daniel Gloss was riding a motorcycle when a deer ran out in the road and hit him – throwing him off the bike.
    Authorities have not released how serious his injuries are.
