• Man wearing pantyhose on head robs gas station in Lancaster

  LANCASTER, N.Y. (WIVB)- Police responded to a reported armed robbery at the Tops Express on Transit Road around 6:45 p.m. Saturday evening.
  Officers say 46 year-old Frank Schupp was wearing pantyhose on his head when he displayed a knife and demanded cash from the gas station clerk. Police were able to locate Schupp by gathering information associated with the vehicle he used at the scene.
  Schupp was taken into custody without incident at an address on Harmony Lane in Cheektowaga.

• Sunday morning stand off in South Buffalo ends peacefully

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Buffalo Police responded to a home on Duerstein Street around 10 a.m. Sunday morning.
  Officers initially responded to a call of a domestic incident involving a boyfriend and girlfriend.
  Upon arrival a man in his 30s barricaded himself in the home and police believed he had a gun.
  Buffalo SWAT and the hostage management team was called to the scene. The stand off ended peacefully just after 12 p.m. when the male surrendered.

• Hundreds hit the pavement for Annual John Beishline 5k

  BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Hundreds of runners took off through Downtown Buffalo for the annual John Beishline 5k Saturday morning. The race is always the day before the Buffalo Marathon.
  The race celebrates the life of Beishline, who was a long-time Buffalo Marathon race director.
  The memorial 5k started in 2014 after Beishline’s death, the year before.
  The race takes runners down Pearl Street to Barker, and then back down Delaware Avenue to the Convention Center.

• Fallen soldiers remembered at Buffalo Naval Park in honor of Memorial Day

• Two-car crash under investigation in Eden
