    Gregg Allman of The Allman Brothers Band dies at age 69
    SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — A publicist for rock legend Gregg Allman says the organist and singer for The Allman Brothers Band has died. He was 69.Ken Weinstein confirmed Saturday that Allman died at his home in Savannah, Georgia.
    Allman had cancelled some 2016 tour dates for health reasons. In March 2017, he canceled performances for the rest of the year.
    After years of substance abuse, Allman contracted hepatitis C and underwent a 2010 liver transplant.

    President of Wardynski Meats, Ray Wardynski, dies at age 96
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Raymond Wardynski, President of Wardynski Meats, passed away peacefully in his Florida home overnight.
    Ray took over managing the business in 1945 and became President in the early 50’s. His son Skip has owned and operated Wardynski’s for the past 25 years.
    Wardynski was very active in the Western New York Community including several Polish American organizations.

    Two people shot during dispute in Buffalo
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Buffalo police are investigating an overnight shooting at Jefferson and East Delavan.
    A man and woman, both in their early 20’s, were shot around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Police say it appears the shooting happened during a dispute involving a large group of people.
    Both were taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.

    ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo woman is accused of driving drunk and hitting a tree.
    Police were called to Orchard Park Road and Union Road around 1:40 a.m. Saturday, after receiving reports the car hit a tree.
    Officers who answered the call found a small SUV with front-end damage, they say was stuck to the tree.They determined the driver was going too fast, and didn’t make it around a curve in the road.

    HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – The new Hamburg Community Playground opened Friday with a public ribbon cutting ceremony.
    The $500,000 playground is the culmination of two years of planning, designing, fundraising, and building.
    The park, designed by Parkitects, Inc., is the largest and most unique playground the firm has created in Western New York to date.

    They had some help from the the Hamburg High School senior class who joined in the photo, wearing their graduation mortarboards.

    Buffalo Police searching for suspect in fatal hit and run
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo Police are seeking the public’s help to identify the driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal hit and run accident Friday night on Bailey Avenue and Lang Street.
    At approximately 6:40 p.m. Friday, a 60-year-old man was struck and killed while crossing Bailey Avenue.
