    NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. (WIVB) – The State of Emergency originally set to expire on Saturday has been extended for an additional 30 days, Niagara County officials stated Friday.

    Vehicle rolls over after driver passes out in city of Tonawanda
    TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Depew man passed out behind the wheel and struck a parked vehicle on Wheeler Street in the city of Tonawanda Friday afternoon, causing his vehicle to roll over.
    The driver, a 67-year-old Fredo Street man, suffered cuts on his hand and was taken to DeGraff Hospital for treatment.

    Royalton man pleads guilty to manslaughter in death of six-month-old son
    ROYALTON, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Royalton man charged with causing the death of his infant son has pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter.
    Dillon Hossbach, 25, was charged with causing the death of his six-month-old son in Dec. 2016.
    The child was found unresponsive in Hossbach’s Rochester Road home in Feb. 2016.
    An investigation revealed that the baby died from trauma.
    Hossbach will be sentenced July 14. He’s facing 12 to 15 years in prison.

    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – New York State Parks Police confirmed that a person they were attempting to rescue has been found.
    The rescue attempt occurred  at the Niagara Gorge off of the Robert Moses Parkway by the old sewage treatment plant.
    The person who fell in was a 33-year-old man from Buffalo. He fell 75 feet into the gorge.
    As of Friday morning, he is hospitalized with head trauma and a broken ankle.
