    LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 20-year-old Buffalo man has been sentenced for a criminal weapons charge after he brought a loaded gun into Baker Hall School in Lackawanna in January.
    Devonte Ridgeway will serve three and a half years in prison plus five years supervised release.
    Ridgeway was charged after bringing a loaded handgun concealed in a backpack onto school grounds. After the backpack triggered metal detector alarms, school staff searched the bag and found a loaded .22 caiber handgun

    Curtis Panell, Jr., is wanted by Niagara Falls Police for probation violations.
    His last known address is East Delevan Avenue in Buffalo. Panell is described as 5’11”, 190 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

    Tonawanda woman charged with stealing $84,000 from relative
    TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Town of Tonawanda woman has been charged with second degree grand larceny after $84,000 was discovered missing from a family member’s bank account.
    Irene E. Rogenmoser, 63, of Heritage Road, was arrested by City of Tonawanda detectives Friday afternoon after an investigation into the missing funds.
    According to Tonawanda Police, it is alleged that Rogenmoser put her name on the family member’s account, and within moments of approval, withdrew $84,000.

    Buffalo Zoo’s new baby reindeer will make his zoo debut Sunday
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The Buffalo Zoo’s newest resident will be making his public debut this Sunday.
    A male Scandinavian reindeer was born April 18 to six-year-old Solara and three-year-old Apollo. Four possible names for the baby deer- Pulsar, Yukon, Thor, or Max- were chosen by zookeepers. A social media poll will determine the winning name, which will also be announced Sunday.

    OLCOTT, N.Y. (WIVB) – Heavy rains and flooding have caused Krull Park Beach in Olcott to close for the season, before the start of the 2017 swimming season.
    Newfane town supervisor Tim Horanburg confirmed Friday that the beach will not be operating this year.

    KIRKERSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — A gunman fatally shot the police chief of an Ohio village and two nursing home employees Friday, and the suspected gunman was also found dead, a sheriff said.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was sentenced to 13 and 1/3 to 16 years in prison for stalking and unlawfully imprisoning his former girlfriend.
    Michael Reibel, 40, broke into the woman’s home before abducting her and holding her against her will for hours in July of 2015.
    In March, Reibel was found guilty of stalking, criminal contempt, burglary and unlawful imprisonment.

    NEW YORK STATE (WIVB) – The New York State Attorney General’s Office has reached settlements with six ticket brokers that illegally purchased and resold hundreds of thousands of tickets using illegal software known as “ticket bots”.
