    DEA holding drug take back event across US Saturday
    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., the Drug Enforcement Administration will hold their 13th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
    5,000 locations across the United States will be taking part in the event, which is operated by law enforcement agencies and community partners.
    Pills and other solids can be turned in, but sharps and liquids will not be accepted.
    Last October, Americans turned in more than 730,000 pounds of prescription drugs.

    AKRON, NEW YORK (WIVB)  – The Akron School District will formally dedicate the varsity baseball diamond after a retired teacher, athletic director, and long-time coach.

    Vastly beating their $5,000 goal, students raised more than $17,000 for the fundraiser for Roswell.

    SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WIVB) — On Friday, National Grid filed a proposal to change gas and electricity prices.
    The reason for the proposal, National Grid says, is to modernize electricity and gas networks, and “improve customer service.”

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo police say a vehicle crashed into a house on the 100 block of Walden Ave. early Friday morning.

    NIAGARA  FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – The search for missing Niagara Falls man Kurt Beehler, 24, has been called off.
